I have seen TV programs for sports and news use this product but other than that I cannot see where IPad can be used? Would you really download Skype on IPad and use it as a telephone? I don’t think anyone would (I might :o p). You can download Skype but you won’t be able to carry it like a phone, you will most certainly need a bag. On top of that when you do buy an IPad everyone wants to touch it and play with it and the screen gets dirty quickly.

 

I was talking to one my colleague on not sure why people buy IPad he said one of his friends uses it when travelling to work on the train. Doing his musical thing, as soon as he said that I was like for music purpose again, I just knew that there was going to involvement of music somewhere in our conversation and there it was. Now the idea I have just given about downloading Skype on IPad might actually be a good one as I can use Skype to chat to my friends and family in different countries, while I am travelling and also without having to worry about the phone bill. This is a great idea and I have already downloaded Skype on my IPad. Don’t ask me why I bought it though because I do regret spending that much money.

Nokia Files Lawsuit Against Apple

A couple of days back Nokia filed a complaint against Apple for patent infringement. The lawsuit against Apple isn’t for one particular product, but for every Apple products. Nokia claims that Apple has allegedly applied Nokia’s user interface, digital cameras, antennas and power management to design its products.

This is not the first time that Nokia has alleged Apple of violating the patent rights. Only some days prior to the incident, Nokia has filed a lawsuit to US ITC(International Trade Commission) against Apple. And Apple had reverted with similar patent infringement complaint against Apple. Just a little after Nokia’s sue, Apple went public and stated that Nokia had infringed 13 of Apple’s patents.

Last year in 2009, Apple did outstanding business and sold about millions of units by the end of the year. What’s more, it is said, Apple couldn’t meet the increased demands from its users. And just as the year started, there is something unpleasant ready for for Apple.

Nokia states it’s got about 1000 patent fillings (Nokia). And that Apple has duplicated Nokia’s work not only for one product but for all their products.

Assuming Nokia wins the case, Apple will need to withdraw selling its products that come under patent infringement– which will be dreadful both for Apple and Apple customers. Remember, though, the problem may well take many years to solve. And who knows in the meanwhile, yet other players will be in news for a similar problem.
